I have developed a database in Access 2003 but also have 2007 available, so don't mind a solution for either. I have merged data from my database into a word doc using Access vba and Word forms. Now I need to convert the word doc into pdf format before sending it via email. I've sorted the email part but can anyone assist with the conversion to pdf - I have trawled so many sites to find an answer but always seem to hit a dead end. My latest effort was along these lines; With appWord strAttachDocPath = >Set doc =.Documents.Open(strAttachDocPath,, True).ActiveDocument.SaveAs >& '.pdf', acFormatPDF End With It runs through the code withpout error but simply doesn't create the file. Prior to 2007 versions, so 2003 and earlier do not have the SaveAs PDF option and you need to use a virtual PDF printer or other solution. Below are a couple options: (great I have used it myself in numerous databases, do require the presence of extra files but no actual installation of software required) (Free virtual printer that must first be installed and then you can use VBA to use it to print out PDFs) Ok, I thought as much. I have looked at lebans reporttopdf before but what I am trying to achieve here is to convert a word doc not an access report. I notice that in Word 2003 on the File menu there is an item 'Send To' and 'Mail recipient as Adobe pdf'. Is there no way that I can access this using vba? Lebans code should work in any office program (perhaps requiring a tweak), but I have never tried to do so.
